Route planning

Day 1: Beginning of the adventure: Mendoza - Confluencia (3,400 m.a.s.l.)

In the morning, our guide will pick you up at your accommodation in Mendoza. We will travel by private transfer for 3 hours, crossing the majestic Andes Mountains to the entrance of the Aconcagua Provincial Park. After completing the entrance formalities, we will begin the trekking of the Aconcagua Provincial Park. 3 to 4 hours to the camp of Confluence (3,400 meters above sea level), where we will settle in and enjoy our first night in the mountain.

Day 2: Aconcagua South Wall viewpoint (4,000 m.a.s.l.)

After an energetic breakfast, we will start trekking to the spectacular viewpoint of the South Wall of Aconcagua. This day of approximately 7 hours (round trip) will allow us to acclimatize and enjoy unique views of the glacier and the southern walls of the giant of America. Upon our return, we will rest and share dinner at the camp.

Day 3: Heading to the heart of the mountain: Confluencia - Plaza de Mulas (4,370 m.a.s.l.)

One of the most intense and exciting days awaits us today. We will walk for 8 to 9 a.m. through the impressive Quebrada de Horcones ravine, crossing high mountain landscapes until reaching the base camp of Plaza de Mulas (4,370 m.a.s.l.), one of the largest and most emblematic glaciers in the world. We will settle near the imposing Horcones glacier and enjoy a well-deserved dinner.

Day 4: Rest and exploration at Plaza de Mulas

Rest and acclimatization day in Plaza de Mulas. We will take the opportunity to visit the base camp, meet other expedition members and enjoy the exclusive services: showers, wi-fi, dining domes and unparalleled views of Aconcagua. This day is key to recover energy and prepare for the main challenge.

Day 5: Ascent to Cerro Bonete (5,000 m.a.s.l.)

Today is the big day: we will climb Cerro Bonete, reaching 5,000 meters above sea level. The walk, from 6 to 7 hours (round trip), We will enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Aconcagua and the Cordillera. After celebrating at the summit, we will return to Plaza de Mulas to rest and share the experience.

Day 6: Return to Mendoza

We bid farewell to the mountain with a hike of approximately 8 hours. from Plaza de Mulas to the park entrance. There the private transfer will be waiting for us to return comfortably to Mendoza, culminating an unforgettable expedition.

  2. Long trekking permit for Aconcagua Provincial Park:
    The cost of the permit is personal and varies according to nationality, date and route. We assist you in the management, but the payment is the participant's responsibility.
  3. Lodging and meals in the city of Mendoza:
    Hotel and food expenses before or after the expedition are not included.
  1. Extra drinks and personal expenses:
    Does not include alcoholic beverages, snacks outside the main meals or personal expenses in the camps.
  1. Costs for abandonment of expedition or evacuation:
    If for personal decision or health reasons you have to abandon the expedition, the participant will be responsible for the costs of transportation, lodging and extra logistics.
  1. Travel and evacuation insurance:
    We recommend taking out travel assistance and mountain evacuation insurance, but it is not included in the package.
